Over the weekend, I watched the home nation rugby

ENG, SCOT, IRE & WAL.

Thumped big three Southern Hemisphere teams

SA, AUS & NZ.

If you’re not into rugby, let me tell you, it’s a HUGE deal.

Watching the athletes perform at such a high level, made me reminisce over my days on the playing field and how I miss the thrill of competition.

Many of you reading may not have had such positive experiences from playing sports, maybe you were even avoiding them.

But like it or not, today you are an athlete.

Your opponent may not be a 6’5″ 120KG Kiwi,

But it’s even more intimidating.

You’re facing:

Ageing,

Atrophy,

Disease.

And the game is called:

LIFE.

Your experience of the game of life and whether the opposition dominates you, will depend on how well you’ve prepared.

Many of you have decided to sit it out until you feel it’s convenient to take the field.

I wouldn’t advise that.

Because while you sit on the bench, the clock is still running, and your opponent isn’t chilling.

They’re getting bigger, stronger, developing their tactics and becoming increasingly aggressive.

BEWARE

At some point, they’ll come to get you off that bench ill-prepared and sooner than you planned!
