It’s important to remember:
Your body is a lagging measure of your eating and training habits.
It didn’t take one pizza or missing a single workout that made you overweight, lacking in energy or suffering health problems.
Your poor exercise and eating habits have multiplied through compound interest!
The good news is, it doesn’t take a monumental effort to reverse the decline.
It takes small changes adding up, to eventually reach a breakthrough.
The problem is small changes don’t often seem to make a difference especially in the short term
Leading you to lose faith before you reach your goal
Think of it this way:
If you had a cut down a tree
You may swing an axe 99 times without the tree showing any chance of falling.
Then on the 100th swing, the tree comes crashing down.
There was nothing special about the 100th swing, it was the accumulation of all the previous swings that lead to your desired result.
The same is with your fitness goals
Performing the split squat, eating more vegetables or drinking less alcohol doesn’t make you better today,
But tomorrow
One of my favourite quotes is:
“A black belt is simply a white belt that didn’t give up!”
Have faith in the process, stop fixating on when your goal will occur
